How It All Started: Animations for Airborne

Every career has a starting point. For me, one of the first big steps was working with Airborne, a company that develops advanced composite materials for aerospace and beyond.

Back then, Airborne was already looking ahead. They were exploring how to make fully automated production cells for composite manufacturing, an ambitious idea that would set the stage for future innovation.

Turning Complex Tech Into Clear Visuals

My role was to take their forward-thinking concepts and make them understandable. Through animation, I visualized how automated production cells could look and operate. The goal was simple: show investors, partners, and the public that this wasn’t just an idea on paper, but a real vision for the future.

The animations broke down:

  • How automation could streamline production

  • Where robotics fit into the workflow

  • Why scaling up composites manufacturing mattered for aerospace and other industries

Building on the Vision

What started as a single project grew into a longer collaboration. Over the years, I created three extensive animations for Airborne, each one digging deeper into the same themes. Together, we explored how robotics, digital workflows, and automation could transform the production of composites.

Each animation built on the last, helping Airborne refine their story and communicate their progress to stakeholders. It became a powerful way for them to show not only where they were heading, but also how far they had already come.

Showcase: Cell Animations

This series of films demonstrated the concept of fully automated production cells, highlighting how composite materials could be manufactured with precision and efficiency. The focus was on robotics, automation, and digital workflows, presented in a way that made complex technology clear and compelling.

Showcase: Launch

For the launch phase, the animations shifted towards presenting Airborne’s vision on a larger stage. These films were used to communicate with investors, partners, and the wider public, showing how Airborne was positioning itself at the forefront of aerospace innovation.

A First Taste of Storytelling With Impact

These projects weren’t just about sleek renders. They taught me the power of animation as a storytelling tool. By turning complex processes into clear, visual stories, companies like Airborne could communicate innovation in a way that words or diagrams alone couldn’t.

It was one of my earliest collaborations, but it set the tone for everything that came after: using 3D animation not just to impress, but to explain, persuade, and inspire.

Looking Back, Moving Forward

Working with Airborne showed me how visualization can push industries forward. It was the start of a journey that has taken me across aerospace, architecture, and real estate, always with the same mission: making the future tangible before it exists.
